Highway 19 will be experiencing delays come November 21 as crews work to replace an aging bridge.

The Wiwa Creek bridge, just outside of Hodgeville, was built in 1974. Its condition is such that the Ministry of Highways has decided to invest close to $2 million in a replacement.

When the construction begins, traffic will be restricted with slower speeds, a detour, and automated traffic lights.

Travellers can expect the new bridge to open up in January of next year, with the full completion of the structure set for spring.
