The Sodium Sulphate processing facility near Chaplin will be receiving some major upgrades in the near future.

The major upgrade will be switching from a natural gas boiler to a new coal fire boiler.

Dale Hallborg is the General Manager of Saskatchewan Minerals Inc. and he says that the plant will also incorporate a system that will remove pollutants from the fuel gas.

The estimated cost of the project is $25 million. They hope to start the project soon for a finish in late 2007.
